WHAT IS
LASER SCANNING?
Laser Scanning is a process of capturing precise and three-dimensional information of an object or physical space to create a digital representation of it. It is based on LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology, a laser system that allows measuring the distance between the laser emission point and an object or surface. The time it takes for the laser to reach its target and return tells us the distance between the two points. The result is a high-resolution 3D map that can be used to understand the terrain in question.
